Eight students attended the 2020 BAP Southwest Regional Conference in New Orleans, LA, March 28-29. Students worked together to create a winning Best Practices presentation in the Impact catergory.
Now through April 1st, Accounting Bobcats are hosting the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinic in LBJSC. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing.
The Department of Accounting hosted the 2020 Spring Showcases, the largest accounting recruiting event of the semester, welcoming 24 firms and over 140 students!
At the beginning of every semester, the department hosts the Joint Meeting Student organizations, Accounting Stars and Beta Alpha Psi Inductees are all recognized.

Spring 2020 Club Officers
A team of four Texas State accounting students earned a spot in the "Final Four" of the National Student Case Competition sponsored by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
There were thirty-five public accounting firms recruiting for both interns and full time positions, ranging in size from Big 4 to single office firms.
During the summer 1 term, students in the undergraduate Cost Accounting class went on a tour of the local Amazon Fulfillment Center.
