VITA Tax Clinic

one student helping a client file taxes

The VITA Clinic was closed early this spring when campus was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. The clinic was able to process about 70 returns and generated over $50,000 in refunds before closing on March 11th.

Accounting students are an integral part of the the VITA Clinic Staff and Volunteers and gain valuable work experience in tax accounting. A special shout out to Diana Oloteo and Briesen Cooper who processed the most returns.

The department is looking forward to bring the the VITA Clinic back in 2021!
