Accounting Bobcats, we appreciate your flexibility and patience you have extended the past couple of months. Below is some helpful information about advising appoints, graduation deadlines and more. Updated Advising Appointments

In an effort to continue to provide the best advising services to students while practicing social distancing and helping students remotely, the Advising Center will be available for 30-minute online advising appointments for summer/fall 2020 course recommendations to be made for you using their Online Advising Plan Request form. Contact the Advising Center at 512.245.1993 to set up an online appointment or visit their website below for additional details and other options to request advising assistance.

Apply for Summer Graduation

All students who intend to graduate this summer semester must complete a Graduation Application through CatsWeb. It will be available at the beginning of Summer I session classes (June 8). You can access the application via CatsWeb > Student > Student Records > Apply to Graduate.

The graduation application deadline for Summer 2020 is Friday, July 3, 2020. 

Remote Learning for Students

As all classes have transitioned to an online format for the remainder of the spring semester and summer I, make sure you are fully prepared by visiting ITAC's Remote Learning and Collaborating Resources for Students. They have resources for: 

  • Internet Providers with free or discounted wifi plans and tips to improve your internet
  • Latest software and apps recommended Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud which is now free to all students through July 6th!
  • And so much more!

A Walk Across Texas State

Career Services officially launched their podcast: A Walk Across Texas State! Tune in to hear hosts, Sam Heimbach and Bridget Sarbu share career and life advice. Five episodes are available now ranging from "The Winding Career Path" to "Creating A Personal Brand" to "Networking & the Job Search", there is already so much useful, practical and purposeful content. Check it out!
