Bobcat Promise

Helping guarantee all Texas children have access to a higher education, regardless of their family's financial resources.

In an initiative to increase access to higher education, Texas State University-San Marcos has developed the Bobcat Promise. This program guarantees free tuition and mandatory fees for 15 credit hours per semester to new entering freshmen with a family adjusted gross income that does not exceed $25,000.  For more detail, visit our Bobcat Promise page.

Old MainEmergency Tuition Loan Now Online!  No longer do you have to come to the Financial Aid and Scholarships office to apply for an emergency tuition loan.  You can now apply online.   

 

Students raising Texas State flag

The TEACH Grant program will be implemented  during the 2008-2009 academic year for only those students working on their first master's degree. Financial Aid and Scholarships will contact eligible students in the spring. This new program was created to assist students that are seeking degrees in high-need fields and anticipate teaching in those fields at the secondary or elementary level. Attention Student Loan Borrowers! On May 7th, 2008, President Bush signed into law the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act of 2008. As a result, some student borrowers may be eligible for an additional $2,000 unsubsidized loan.
